The Omniscience of Christ

Moving the “Forerunner Characteristics” aside for a post, I would like to address the issue of Jesus’ omniscience. There is much mystery that envelopes this subject and I am in no way stating that I have full understanding behind the logistics of Jesus’ humanity. I am aware of how this topic touches the emotions but I enjoy a good stirring up of things every now and again. So let us begin.

I think none of us can deny the fact that Jesus was fully human while not ceasing to be fully God. This is the hinge of Christianity. Throughout the book of John we can see the apostle’s primary purpose is to show Christ’s divine glory shinning through the veil of the flesh; the very place that our God dwelt for over three decades. John told us that “He is from above” (John 6:33), that He is the pre-existent Logos (John 8:42), that He is sent by the Father to this self-alienated world of corruption and sin (John 1:14, 5:24-38), and it is He who left His Fathers presence

The Forerunner – Part 2: Power of the Message

Here in part two we are going to look at what I think is the framework of a forerunners message. What makes the substance of a forerunners message so alluring is the ‘voice’ that has been gained (click here for Part 1: Being a Voice) but it’s what is at the heart of their message that matters. The ‘message’ is our delivery of divine content that has been entrusted to us by Jesus through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit’s job is to take of what is Jesus’ and make it known to us. He is to take the mysteries hidden in the God-man and drive them into our ideological convictions for the purpose of bringing glory to the One who is the full representation of the Father (Matt. 13:11, 35; Jn. 16:14; 1 Cor. 2:9-11).

The Forerunner – Part 1: Being a Voice

Over the next few posts my intention is to look at the calling of a forerunner and what all this entails for those of us who have that ‘burn’ and need of a message realease. Due to the rather large amount of information this subject holds I will most likely try to keep these posts to a few paragraphs. This is so there is not such a large document to read each time I post.

Forerunner: A person or thing that precedes the coming development of someone or something; also a sign or warning of something to come (Oxford American Dictionaries).

Many seem to think the delivery aspect of a message is the most difficult in the preparation and learning process. Delivery is somewhat wearisome, but the most demanding angle of this growth process, by a large margin, is the spiritual discipline that is obtained while focusing on the finish line. Anybody can proclaim a message to their buddy over coffee they received from an early morning devo. And that counts, I don’t want to minimize that. But there is a dimension of being one who has the true calling of a forerunner that involves the process of gaining both a voice and a message.

Anti-semitism Today

The world today is on a collision course with history. To not study the past is to recapitulate most, if not all, of it’s events. Yet, to have studied and then forgotten, is to subconsciously assemble a method of greater apocolyptic proportions than the conception of it’s anterior suckling . The results of the latter are catostophic.

The coming hardsips on the nation of Israel have the divine fringerprints of our Creator all over it’s shell of events. The fulfillment of those things prophesied by the Prophets will be at hands of the nations, but it’s exemplary objective has been orchestrated by the God of the ages (i.e. Babylonian invasion – Hab. 1:5). One can look across the globe today and see the prominence of an ani-semitic seed that is being planted in the ideas and ideals of humanity. From the Iranian conference denying the holocaust, to the small white supremacy groups that stand for much more than Hitler and the agenda he had. The stage is being set for a cataclysmic confrontation between the nations and Israel. Of which, is being masterminded by our Triune God for the purpose of bringing the most amount of Jews into the Kingdom with the least amount of tragedy and suffering (Zech. 13:8-14:2). After this, the nation of Israel and it’s people will never fall by the sword again (Is. 32; 16-18; 33:17-24) becasue of Jesus’ jealousy for His people (Is. 31:4, 5) and the purging of the world of her sin (Is. 2:1-4).

Persevering in the Darkness

In those times when we are pressed to just move on from our current commitments (like school, work, and our normal everyday methodology to grow in God) and enter into what we think is the right path for the season we are in, we must remember something. True wisdom is not looking to tomorrow with such anticipation that it hinders the focus needed for today. Tomorrow’s potentiality should motivate us to go harder in what we are doing now, that we may finish and not shift the momentum of our
