What’s the Picture?

The picture on my header is a frontal view of the theatre in Ephesus (by clicking on the link below you can see the full picture). It would have been within the immediate vicinity from where I took this picture that Paul was prevented by his disciples from entering the theatre, as described in Acts 19. As many as 25,000 people could have gathered together in this very complex and began chanting “Great is Diana of the Ephesians.” In this atmosphere, and just outside the theatres entrance, was where the great apostle would leave his disciples and begin to set his face towards Rome. His third and final missionary journey would come to an end somehwere in this photo.
